**Complex Number: **A number of the form a+ib, is called complex number, where *a & b* are real numbers and i* *is square root of minus one(i.e i=√-1) is called imaginary unit. A complex number is generally denoted by z .

Thus, if **z=a+ib**, be a complex number, then

**a** is called real part of z & is denoted by **Re(z)** and** b** is called imaginary part of z & is denoted by **Im(z)**.
